We have an immediate opening for a full time Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years building and deploying scalable data pipeline.  He or she will be tasked with developing and maintaining a data storage strategy that will facilitate data mining and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Build, deploy and maintain optimal data pipeline

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal ETL of a variety of data sources using MySQL, AWS and other ‘big data’ technologies

• Ensure data is transformed and available for data tools and analytics

• Write and validate complex MySQL database migrations to update schema as needed

• Work with relevant stakeholders including Executive, Product, Data and Development teams to provide data related technical assistance and support their data infrastructure needs

• Assist in the further cultivation of the data first perspective

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 - 5 years ETL experience MYSQL

• Have experience working with large datasets

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant
  Discipline

• Must understand Relational and Dimensional database modeling

• Experience with Data Preparation for Data Science

• Must be able to adhere to SOPs and methodologies, and be willing to improve them when necessary

• Must be willing and capable of adopting new technologies and paradigms such as Big Data technologies (Hadoop, hive, etc.), event based analytics, etc.

• Good Communication skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile experience (SCRUM)

• Experience with Python or PHP development, scripting languages, and web site operations
