We currently have an immediate opening for a full time Database Administrator. The DBA will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating database performance and recommending strategies to increase capacity, efficiency, security and responsiveness of systems. Must have expert knowledge in SQL and advanced scripting skills. 
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Write advanced SQL statements and migrations for databases with multi-million row tables
• Design, architect and refactor new and existing schemas
• Work closely with internal I.T. and Dev teams throughout the planning, building and deployment process
• Test, optimize, troubleshoot and fine-tune database queries for maximum efficiency
• Work with various internal departments to gather requirements and provide solutions
• Develop custom reports and dashboard items

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Five or more years work experience in MySQL and/or data architecture
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of all SQL statements and commands
• Advanced technical understanding of SQL Triggers, Views and Functions
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL management tools
• Reporting and Dashboard Platform experience (Periscope, Looker preferred)
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, and/or PHP a plus
• Experience in JIRA and Agile Methodologies a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
