We currently have an immediate opening for a full-time DevOps Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The right candidate will have experience with LAMP/LEMP development stacks,  Agile development processes and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible. The position will also involve troubleshooting performance issues and administrative tasks such as software deployments, updates, etc. and many projects related to systems administration and infrastructure.

We operate in a standard Linux only environment and service infrastructure.  We are looking for candidates that have experience in this type of environment with strong  command line skills. NOTE: If you only have experience working in a Windows server environments, we will not be considering your resume at this time.

Relocation available for the right candidate. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Responsibilities

The duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Setup development and production environments, tag and deploy software and roll back releases as needed.

  • Administer and configure Linux, PHP, Redis, Nginx, ElasticSearch, GIT, and other systems/services

  • Help maintain, configure and optimize all IT infrastructure systems, services and servers.

  • Maintain the network including switches, routers, load balancing, IP address, DNS, and other network necessities as needed

  • Assist with the maintenance of MySQL databases configured in master/slave arrangements as well as setup and configure automated backups ensuring all systems are optimized and functioning properly

  • Conduct security audits, identify weaknesses, and keep our network and infrastructure secure at all times

  • Monitor all systems and maintain the services used to monitor systems.

  • Help in hardware, technical support and equipment needs for the network and employees as needed

  • Assist with various in-house IT support and networking issues such as device management and WiFi infrastructure.

  • Most work will be performed in an office like setting. Some tasks will require working within a secured data center.

Requirements

Required education:

  • Bachelor's

Required experience:

  • 2 - 3 years of Linux administration experience (Suse, Centos/Redhat, Ubuntu, Debian) to support LAMP/LEMP stacks

  • Experience working in Agile development process using automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible

  • MySQL administration experience

  • Cache (Redis/Memcache) administration and optimization experience.

  • Development operations experience. (eg., work with multiple environments.)

  • Scripting for systems administration and task automation using Bash or PERL

  • Understanding TCP/IP networking, firewall rules and load balancing concepts

  • Experience in managing infrastructure and architecture of systems. This includes server setup, physical setup in a data center, monitoring services, automated jobs and tasks, and being able to diagram and document all of these items.

  • Must be able document changes made to systems and the network environment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously

  • Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize projects to meet assigned deadline

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred, relevant work history will be considered
