We are looking for a seasoned marketing leader to join our leadership team as Head of Marketing Communications. The ideal candidate has had the experience building a world class marketing team from the ground up, is capable of developing marketing strategy for a data driven, high-tech company and displays the core values of our company, i.e., passionate, proactive, adaptable, collaborative, and exceptional.

 

The Head of Marketing Communications will oversee all marketing initiatives, including Media Relations (PR), Print and Video Production, Social Media, Special Events and Content Marketing. The Head of Marketing Communications will be responsible for leading the continuous growth of our brands by implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and member retention. As the leader of our Marketing Organization, the Head of Marketing Communications must have well rounded knowledge of the ever growing areas of Marketing. Marketing has always been our core focus, which is how we are able to generate higher margins than our competitors in the same industry. We are looking for a Head of Marketing Communications to help us continue this trend, and to upgrade our capabilities, drive innovation, and to achieve even more.

 

Media Relations Team (PR):  Our Media Relations team is responsible for generating quality and consistent media coverage through the art of storytelling via multiple broadcast channels, including radio, TV, digital and print media, social media at the local, national and international level.

 

Content Marketing Team:  Our Content Marketing Team is responsible for creating and growing the right community for our users, which will include community outreach through various forms of engaging content such as social media, events, podcasts, blogs, etc.   

 

Production and Creative Team:  Our Production and Creative teams create innovative audio, visual, and multimedia content to support the goals of our marketing functions.  This team is also called upon to create graphical content for landing pages, infographics or multimedia to support our media relations, community and social media efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create 1-year / 3-year marketing strategy for the company and it’s clients

  • Develop and manage the appropriate Scorecards and KPIs for the marketing organization

  • Collaborate and work closely with Product and Operations to achieve company’s financial goals

  • Develop the right marketing organization structure capable of executing on the strategy

  • Manage and improve on the entire marketing department, with at least 3 direct reports, to execute on the strategy

  • Serve as an exceptional manager, who is a mentor to his or her team

  • Encourage and drive innovation in marketing throughout the entire organization

  • Set clear quarterly goals and objectives, measure, track and hold teams / individuals accountable

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of processes for the marketing organization

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets

  • Provide a fresh marketing outlook to our brands from a PR, social media, and creative perspective

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required

  • Master’s degree in a related field, or MBA preferred

  • At least 10 years of combined experience, and at least 3 years of experience in each of the following areas: media relations / PR, advertising and / or content development

  • At least 5 years of experience in an executive role managing a high functioning marketing team in a data-driven and high tech organization

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred

  • Solid relationships with relevant media contacts across all mediums

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent project management skills
